Ultrasound Machine Needed

The local Knights of Columbus Council and Councils in the immediate area are raising funds for a new Ultrasound machine for the Heartbeat or Community Pregnancy Center located in Lima. The Supreme K of C Council will provide matching funds toward the machine, local funds needed are $11,750. The Diocese of Toledo and the Supreme Council approved the purchase of a new machine.

In 2011, an ultrasound machine was installed in Heartbeat of Lima in rooms adjacent to the abortion clinic through funds collected through the K of C, good news - the abortion clinic closed since that time. The machine is beyond repair and needs to be replaced. It was repaired once at a cost of $10,000.

Dr. Kindig the Heartbeat Medical Director reports that over 700 ultrasounds, averaging over 100 a year have been performed. Many women have chosen life over abortion after viewing the image of a heartbeat at 5 weeks and 6 days, a jumping baby at 7 weeks, toes and fingers at 8 weeks. He says that one baby a week is saved by using the machine.

The K of C would like to ask for your support, either by donating after all Delphos St. John's masses the weekend of January 20th and 21st or sending your donation of either cash or check made payable to K of C Ultrasound Project, P.O. Box 182, Delphos, OH 45833.

We thank you and your families for participating in this cause. I am sure that God will Bless you for saving lives.

Bernard Fielder,
Grand Knight Delphos Council
